Illustrado

Last weekend, I got an email from Randall to grab a copy of Illustrado which is a Dubai based filipino magazine because there was a feature made on them-the Dagooc brother aka Mango Red. Apparently, the magazine included one of our wedding photos in their spread.

S0 there's our picture on the upper left. Same page as the Kramer's, the Fonacier's, and the Atentido's. Such big names, and who are we Eustaquio's anyway? Hehehe. :)

The magazine is with Art and he's in Dubai right now, so I haven't really read the feature on Mango Red yet. But I'm sure it's a great one, because they are great photographers.

"Soundtracks"

About a year ago, I blogged about how music defines my life's moments. Which is my I spent hours and hours carefully choosing the songs that would be played on our wedding day, while other couples just leave it up to the performers to play whatever love songs they deem appropriate for the affair. Imagine my panic when the wedding singers I chose (from Zamboanga) told me that they did not know 90% of the songs I chose for the wedding!

Anyway, I was watching SNN tonight (Yes, I know, I'm so mababaw) and Kris was talking about the "soundtrack" of the Judy Ann Santos-Ryan Agoncillo wedding. Her bridal march was to Runaway by The Corrs which was sung by Agot Isidro. I was reminded about the soundtrack of our own.

Let me share the songs played on our wedding day. I walked the aisle towards my husband-to-be to Barbra Streisand's All I Ask Of You, and our first dance was to Eric Benet's The Last Time. Those were the two most important songs of the day.
Other songs that were played were:

Make Me Whole by Amiel Larrieux
Beautiful Days by Amiel Larrieux
When God Made You by Newsong feat. Natalie Grant
Book of Love by Peter Gabriel
The Prayer by Celine Dion and (very common wedding song)
A Sorta Fairytale by Tori Amos (Jason Magbanua's SDE)
Lovely by Michelle Tumes (one of the songs on Lito Sy's AVP, the others he picked)
Destiny by Jim Brickman & Jordan Hill (another common wedding song)
Here and Now by Luther Vandross
Angels Brought Me Here by Carrie Underwood
God Bless The Broken Road by Rascall Flatts
Seasons of Love (Rent OST)
This Guys In Love With You by Burt Bacharach
Have You Ever Been In Love by Celine Dion
Cinema Paradiso Theme (Violin) by Ennio Morricone
My Valentine by Martina McBride and Jim Brickman
Whenever I Call You Friend by Alison Krauss and Michael Johnson
Beautiful In My Eyes by Joshua Kadison
With Or Without You by U2 (Pat Dy's OTD Photo Slideshow)
Feels Like Home By Chantal Kreviazuk

Hmm... I shall edit this post once I remember the rest of the songs. That's it for now. The Soundtrack of our wedding. The songs that remind me of the way I felt as well as that funny feeling I had in my stomach on that special day. :)

A Wedding Post. A Little Bit Overdue. (Part 5)

Other Wedding Details
SHOES

I brought 3 pairs of shoes to the hotel because I wasn't sure which one I wanted to wear. I decided to go with the bejeweled silver stilettos, and then switched to the red peep-toe ones for the reception. I really like the bejeweled strappy stilettos which I got online, in fact I even got the exact same ones in gold just to be safe since I didn't know then which one I wanted to use. :)
WEDDING RINGS

Art & I got our wedding bands in Hong Kong. This design is his personal pick, and he is very proud of it. It's one of the few things in our wedding that was all him. :)
ENGAGEMENT RING
UNITY COINS & ARRHAE

I got the two-toned Unity Coins from The Wedding Library at Megamall, and the arrhae was provided by Frederick Peralta. :)
BRIDAL CAR: 1948 CADILLAC SEDAN

This car is one of my favorite things about the wedding. I adore vintage. This car used to belong to Art's grandfather and it has been in their family since. It's not the traditional white bridal car because its actually dark green, but I couldn't care less!
FANS

I could foresee beforehand that a garden ceremony at 3:30 in the afternoon was going to be hot, so we provided fans for the guests. I got these from a w@w sister.
GIVEAWAYS:

These giveaways were provided by my grandmother, but not before giving us a huge scare! She offered to give them to us a year before the wedding but we almost thought we wouldn't have giveaways a few weeks before the wedding because she "forgot/changed her mind". It was pure stress especially for me, the bride! Glad that she came through, though at the very last minute.
PERSONALIZED NAPKINS

This is a very sweet wedding present from my college roommate Emma who wasn't able to make it to the wedding. :( Purchased from The Knot.
PERSONALIZED TOASTING FLUTES

From my Auntie Tina who also wasn't able to make it because of her untimely back surgery. She also gave us a personalized cake cutter, unfortunately I can't find a picture of it.
