"Soundtracks"

About a year ago, I blogged about how music defines my life's moments. Which is my I spent hours and hours carefully choosing the songs that would be played on our wedding day, while other couples just leave it up to the performers to play whatever love songs they deem appropriate for the affair. Imagine my panic when the wedding singers I chose (from Zamboanga) told me that they did not know 90% of the songs I chose for the wedding!

Anyway, I was watching SNN tonight (Yes, I know, I'm so mababaw) and Kris was talking about the "soundtrack" of the Judy Ann Santos-Ryan Agoncillo wedding. Her bridal march was to Runaway by The Corrs which was sung by Agot Isidro. I was reminded about the soundtrack of our own.

Let me share the songs played on our wedding day. I walked the aisle towards my husband-to-be to Barbra Streisand's All I Ask Of You, and our first dance was to Eric Benet's The Last Time. Those were the two most important songs of the day.
Other songs that were played were:

Make Me Whole by Amiel Larrieux
Beautiful Days by Amiel Larrieux
When God Made You by Newsong feat. Natalie Grant
Book of Love by Peter Gabriel
The Prayer by Celine Dion and (very common wedding song)
A Sorta Fairytale by Tori Amos (Jason Magbanua's SDE)
Lovely by Michelle Tumes (one of the songs on Lito Sy's AVP, the others he picked)
Destiny by Jim Brickman & Jordan Hill (another common wedding song)
Here and Now by Luther Vandross
Angels Brought Me Here by Carrie Underwood
God Bless The Broken Road by Rascall Flatts
Seasons of Love (Rent OST)
This Guys In Love With You by Burt Bacharach
Have You Ever Been In Love by Celine Dion
Cinema Paradiso Theme (Violin) by Ennio Morricone
My Valentine by Martina McBride and Jim Brickman
Whenever I Call You Friend by Alison Krauss and Michael Johnson
Beautiful In My Eyes by Joshua Kadison
With Or Without You by U2 (Pat Dy's OTD Photo Slideshow)
Feels Like Home By Chantal Kreviazuk

Hmm... I shall edit this post once I remember the rest of the songs. That's it for now. The Soundtrack of our wedding. The songs that remind me of the way I felt as well as that funny feeling I had in my stomach on that special day. :)

I've heard about this Wowowie guesting of Korina Sanchez & Mar Roxas, but I haven't watched it until now. I am NOT a fan of Willie Revillame at all. Because I've heard so much about the guesting, I looked for the video at youtube out of sheer curiosity.

Wonderful. They just showed that their relationship is one big game since everything that transpires in Wowowie is a game anyway... not to mention a joke.

And the tears??? Hellerrr. Give me a break! It's as fake as his pedicab political ad.

At least now we know Mar wants the presidential seat THAT bad.

Accordingly, majority of the viewers that day turned their television sets off while the rest switched to Eat Bulaga.

Top Five

There have been a lot of Top Fives going around facebook recently, and I've been wanting to make my own top five of whatever but I didn't want to spam my fb contacts with my top five lists like they actually give a damn. I don't mind reading about other people's top fives but I don't really care much about which twilight character they might be or what not. I just wish to see more interesting updates about my contacts when I log into fb than those top fives.

In my attempt of not spaming my fb contacts, I shall post my top fives in my blog where I have all the freedom in the world to post what I wish to... and maybe, just maybe my readers would care. :)

Biggest Celebrity Crushes
Chace Crawford
*Sigh... I have a BIG BIG BIG crush on this guy but don't think I named my son after him ha, I just really like the name ;)

Jim Sturgess
I fell in love with him after watching Across the Universe, his voice grabeee!

Robert Buckley
Is he sexy or what? I just had to post a picture showing his hot bod! Loved him in Lipstick Jungle.

Jake Cuenca
If I were Audrey in Tayong Dalawa, I'd pick him over Jr! He's wayyy hotter naman! (not a big Gerard Anderson fan here) Tsk, now everyone knows I watch teleseryes, hehehe.

Diether Ocampo
My heart broke when Catherine (Claudine B.) didn't pick him in Iisa Pa Lamang. As in!! If only I could, I wanted to tell him, "Miguel, akin ka nalang!" and because I'm quite mababaw I just might to watch his coming teleserye Only You even if I'm not a big Angel Locsin fan.

...Or maybe not. Aside from Iisa Pa Lamang and Tayong Dalawa, I don't really like watching teleseryes. I prefer to download shows on mininova (trying to redeem my image here).

I know the list is only for FIVE crushes but I just have to include one more. Because despite having all of these celebrity crushes, this last one is my BIGGEST crush ever!

Arturo Eustaquio V
yeaba! :) Only HE alone can get me twitterpated (FYI that's the english word for kilig).

Top Five Handbags I'd Love To Have:

Hermes 35cm Crocodile Birkin in Blue Brighton [or an Ostrich one in this shade :p]

Hermes Crocodile Kelly in Hot Pink

Balenciaga City Motorcycle in Black (wish they had this in red)

Chanel Classic Med Flap in Black with silver hardware

Goyard Croisiere 35 in White (Customized)

Top Fragrances:

These are my Top Fives for now, until the next time I'm bored. :)

Who Doesn't Know Susan Boyle?

After watching Susan Boyle on Britan's Got Talent, and after the videos of her performance were posted on youtube (over 15 million views, mind you), she became an overnight singing sensation. By now with her television appearances left and right, who doesn't know who she is?

Aside from her beautiful voice, Susan is also known for her frumpy look. After declaring a "Why should I change?" on Larry King Live, it's a surprise to know that she got herself a little makeover.
Quite a contrast to her old look, don't you think? Oh well. As to whether or not she's gonna go through the next round, we'll all find out on May 23rd. I'm sure millions of people are looking forward to the results of that.

Move Over Britney Spears?

With all the Gossip Girl fanatics out there, who doesn't know B.? Who doesn't love to hate [but still love] her character as well as her juicy misadventures?

There has been claims that Blair Waldorf is filling the designer shoes that Carrie Bradshaw left when Sex & the City ended, although there are those who beg to disagree. As far as I know, their fashion style may be very different, but the Queen Bee is definitely becoming as big a television fashion icon as Carrie Bradshaw once was.

Aside from being a real beauty, who knew that in real life Leighton Meester could also sing? Apparently, the young actress has just signed a record deal singing songs with "electro-pop edge".

So is she going from Gossip Girl to Pop Princess? Her "leaked" cover of Bette Davis Eyes on youtube might give us an idea of whether or not she will make it in the music scene.

Personally, this cover doesn't quite make it for me [I'd take Gwyneth's cover over this one at any day], but Leighton sure has the voice. Nonetheless, I'm still a big gossip girl fan, and bitch or no bitch, I'm all for Blair Waldorf. :p

My Husband, The Blogger :p

A few months back, I was encouraging Art to get into photography as an alternate hobby to Ps3 (hobby daw yan, according to him!). After my not-so-subtle hints that I wanted a Nikon d90, and he finally got one (thanks btw sweetie :p), I again encouraged him to use it (only in the meantime!) for his constant traveling.

Seeing that he has quite the eye for it (ehem!), we talked about him opening a blog account to somewhat document photos taken during his travels. He even [half] jokingly said he'll call it My Traveling Pants, but was very disappointed to find that that particular blog url was already taken!

He opened a livejournal account but never really finished his first post. Now he has a new blog on blogspot which he named A Total Lack Of Creativity because according to him, he totally lacks the creativity! Whether or not it is true, you'll find out upon reading his blog entries. :p

I think he initially planned the blog to be a photography one, but as you will notice while reading it is that my husband is quite the sentimentalist. So he ends up blogging about our baby boy instead. :)

So, I invite my blog readers to visit Art's blog (even if he posted a very unflattering picture of me taken while I was napping!). As to how long he will be able to maintain it, I have no idea. But I sure hope he can publish posts regularly because I have signed up as a follower of the blog! :)

I love you, Dahling! :) I'm so proud of my hubby, the budding blogger! Hahaha.

Bilis Ng Araw! :(

Two weeks have come and gone, so now I'm left without my "assistant". No more reliever for me whenever I'm on my late night shift! *sniffles

I miss this goofy face! :(
In the meantime, I'll just enjoy looking at this little guy's cutesy expressions. Kuya Kaden and his baby brother.
Still can't decide if he looks more like Art or more like my mother-in-law. :)

Two Weeks Postpartum

Our new little bundle of joy turned two weeks old today.
He is now 8.2 lbs, from 6.1 lbs. Glad he's growing fast!
I lost 20 lbs... but since I gained a total of 47 lbs during my pregnancy, I still have 27 more lbs to lose! Eek. It's not gonna be easy, that's for sure.
I went to the mall the other day, and two people I knew asked me when I'm due. [Okay, I get it, I still look pregnant.]

A few days after, I went with my husband to get his hair cut. Some stranger seated beside me, trying to be friendly asked me how far along I am. [I guess if its some consolation, at least I no longer look like I'm full-term].

Kuya Kaden got his head shaved...
and contracted a viral infection (it's unrelated, I know)
and then mommy and poor baby Chace ended up getting it too. :(

Daddy is getting to be an expert on babysitting.
Although sometimes, he confuses his role.
My swaddled babies.

Chace's First Doctor's Appointment

Our little boy is a miracle baby. Following my surgery at 5 weeks gestation, most people were not optimistic about my pregnancy. Even my ob-gyn confessed that she gets nervous during every ultrasound because she doesn't know what to expect. But our baby is a fighter, and we're mighty proud of him.

So 8 days after his delivery, here we are at his [and mommy's] pediatrician's clinic for his baby checkup.
Kuya Kaden & Baby Chace comfy on their carseats.
We are so blessed, and very thankful for it.

Look Who's Home :)

Bonding time with the boys.
Kaden likes taking pictures.
Bearing gifts :).
I likey my new baby bag. ;)
A gift from Art's office mates, how sweet! We're currently using Kaden's old Avent microwavable sterilizer, so this is IQ24 electric sterilizer is such a pleasant surprise. :)
Baby Chace had his first trip out of the house...
with his thrilled Kuya Kaden...
to visit his Lola Becky.

Someone is totally smitten. :)
Our little cutie pie...

He is such a happy baby. :)
