Lust Lust Lust.

For some reason I seem to be lusting BIG TIME over these Steve Madden Legion Scrunch Boots.

I just can't get them off my mind.

Actually, I can already see myself wearing them (assuming!). Postpartum, of course. :)
They also come in Grey, although I think the shade looks a little bit on the brown side. I would have loved it in this color. Unfortunately, there's no available size for me. :(
Looks like I'm left with Cognac. Which looks just as great, too. I'm excited! :)
I of course had to "share" this with my uber handsome, not to mention ever supportive (lucky me!) husband, who very willingly checked it online for me. :)

I love you, sweetie!

It's not like we're going anywhere that I'll be needing boots anytime soon, right. Or are we?

Hihihih! :) Let's just wait and see, I guess. But first, I need to give birth.

Merry Christmas To One And All! :)

Holidays are always a great time for family, and I'm glad I am with mine. I am having much fun having my brother here to bug everyday now. I am also very happy to have my mom, dad, & Kaden here to make the holidays merry and bright in our beloved home.

Although I miss my husband so much this christmas season, I only take comfort in his promise that this is our first and last christmas apart. I am grateful for all his love and support, and that despite the distance, he does not let a single day go by without me knowing and feeling that he's there for me and Kaden. :)

This year has been a great year and there are so many blessings in my life that I am thankful for, most especially the gift of now belonging to a new family. Someone once told me that no matter how great a marriage is, it's really nothing special unless you have gained a family. So aside from my family, I am thankful for my husband's family which is now also my own.

I am also very thankful for my friends. I have often told my husband that when it comes to that area, I consider myself to be very very blessed to have such loyal and true friends. I know not everyone can say that about theirs that is why I treasure mine so much. You can't always be lucky in all relationships, you can't have it all, that's just how the world works. So I'm very content that my relationship with my nuclear family, my in-laws, and my very good friends is more than great. I am very lucky for all the love and support that I get.

Everyday in my life since September 2005, I have been thanking God for the blessing of a son. Seeing him grow up so fast right before my eyes everyday has been a great pleasure that I will never ever trade for anything else. Kaden is a darling, not just to me but to everyone around him. I have never ever seen such a loving and caring little boy, and I am not just saying that because he is my son. Sometimes, I worry that I spoil him too much, but when he starts telling me things to cheer me up when he sees I'm down and when he tells me how much he loves me, I can't help but think that I am probably doing something right there.

So mostly this 2008, and more than the gifts I have received this holiday season, I am very thankful for the wonderful people that God put in my life, as well as for the life experiences He brings me to in order for me to grow as a person He wills me to be and be a better person to those I hold dear.

Many great things to come in 2009. I can feel it. I am also very very excited about our miracle baby being born in April. Among many, many other things. :)

I absolutely love my life.

The Only Thing Worst Than A Liar Is A BAD LIAR!

The liar's punishment is not in the least that he is not believed but that he cannot believe anyone else.
Irish dramatist & socialist (1856 - 1950)

I absolutely detest liars! I hope they really end up in hell and rot there. Burn burn burn!!! I hope the flames of hell start consuming them pretty soon too. Some people are just so full of lies, and it's so pathetic.
I wonder why some people even bother listening to the lying, loathsome person that she is. I wonder why some people even care. Everyone is a victim if the lies that she concocts. One day you too will be a victim. Everybody who's lived with her knows what kind of a liar she is and just doesn't bother wasting their time listening to her bunch of lying crap. If it's "bastos" to tell a liar off, then I am bastos. I hate being plastic as much as I hate being lied to. You can't go on telling lies about someone and expect them not to know. Who needs a liar in their lives anyway? Not me.
She is a LIAR, and that is her curse.
Yes, I told her what a BIG liar she is, and I told her to stay away! I'm mighty proud of myself.

I Love Weddings! :)

I have two of my good friends who are already planning their upcoming dream wedding, and I'm very happy as well as excited for them!

First is Jennifer, who's getting married to Marvin on October 2009. She has been my barkada since elementary. We go a loonggg way and it's great to see her finally tie the knot. She will be the third in our barkada to be married, and I hope the next wedding after hers will not be too far away.

Next is Ema, who's getting married to Abner on October 10, 2010 (10/10/10!). Ema was my college roommate at Residencia de Dios and was my gimik buddy back then. To finally find the one is a huge step for her and I'm ecstatic about it.

The best thing about both weddings is that I will be part of the entourage. Yehey! :) There's nothing I love more than getting all dressed up and all dolled up for an event as sweet as a close friend's wedding. Ah, and the bachelorette party...! So many things to look forward to.

Mood: Excited and Happy!

Vacation On My Mind

I am very well aware that I will not be able to go on a vacay-tion anytime within the near future. Which is probably why I cannot stop thinking of beaches even while knowing that I won't be able to go to one until about a year from now [or at least 7 months after I give birth].

I feel bad enough that all my nursing groupmates/friends are going to Cebu in January for a great vacay, and as early as now they are already in vacation mode. It's not so hard really, I only have to live with listening to them talk about all their plans in excited tones. *Sigh

So this is how I console myself: I make plans, even if I know it won't happen anytime soon.

Once I've "recovered" from my PPD (hah!), and after I return to my pre-pregnancy body (which a lot of people almost swear is not going to happen considering my weight gain, HMP!). These are the places I'd love to visit with my husband.

ABACA RESORT, Mactan Island, Cebu

 DISCOVERY SHORES, Boracay Island

And for our belated honeymoon...

 AMANPULO, Pamalican Island, Palawan

Its always free to dream, right? The Secret, please come to momma.

Our Wedding Essentials Feature

I wanted to blog about this when I received the magazines in October, but I was too busy with hospital duty [and payback], and then Art was here, so I ended up completely forgetting about it. Until earlier, so I decided to take pics of the magazine. :)

The issues in circulation are the ones with Nina Corpuz and her husband on the cover. Ours is a specialized copy, we have 20 copies of this one which we gave to close relatives and interested friends. :)

When I received the invitation for our wedding to be featured, I didn't know the write-ups had to come with a title and I neglected to put one on ours. So I think the editorial staff of Wedding Essentials came up with one. Honestly, I think it's kind of corny. Hehehe. Definitely not something I'd cook up.

My mom asked how come there were not much pictures of our other relatives and friends. I was asked to send in 30 to 50 photos and WE chose from among them. I also received a call for a feature on the entourage gowns, however it was around the time I had an emergency operation so I wasn't able to reply in time for the deadline.

I've received calls from friends who've read the write up and said they were touched. Thank you! :) Even Marlo Luna, Zamboanga based wedding coordinator said that he felt truly inspired after reading it. [Btw, to those who are asking me who to get for weddings here in Zamboanga, I think Marlo is your best bet by far!]

It was great planning the wedding and it felt great to be a bride! Although I had a very short "hang over" from being a bride-to-be because in less than a month, we found out that we were already expecting. I even neglected to do my suppliers ratings for w@w.

Art laughed when he read it because I had to mention in the write-up that the full drapings were the first in Zamboanga for our wedding. I said I wanted to because first, it was true; and second, our wedding set up is being copied over n over again. Initially, I was very pissed and then I realized that we didn't have a patent on it so other wedding coordinators have the right to copy them and show that they have no originality. :) Full drapings are common in Manila weddings but no one used it here until our wedding, maybe some have thought of it but we were the first to actually do it. Now wedding after wedding, they use the exact same color of drapes that we used during our wedding. I wish that soon they will start buying new colors of drapes because there are actually lots of nice colors out there. They said, imitation is the highest form of flattery. So okay, thanks for flattering our wedding. :)

Les Chocolateries... Yum!

Last night, my Auntie Mary or our Ninang Mary rather, gave us this absolutely sinful paper-thin Belgian chocolate lace cookies in semi-sweet from Cebu. I just couldn't stop myself from devouring the, and with my constant need to take a snack, it's no surprise that it didn't even last 24 hours.

I found out that they are being sold in semisweet, mint, dark and white chocolates. Even Kaden loves them! I am super craving for some more. I will definitely make an order for another batch of these cookies. [Cebu: 0917-6220427, Manila: 027194476].

Last night after putting them on the chiller, I realized it also tastes like Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies which I really loved during the time that I was pregnant with Kaden.

Argh! All I can think about is food food food. Fyi, the ideal weight gain for a healthy pregnancy is 25lbs for the entire 9 months. I'm only at my 5th month right now and I've already gained 25lbs! Seriously!

Cancelled Shows. Oh well...

Because of my 'fragile' condition, I'm not left with much options when it comes to what I can do with my idle time. One of my few guilty pleasures now is downloading and watching television shows, no matter how dragging some of them are becoming.

As fall 2008 television season ends, networks have announced that they have decided to end some of the shows that I'm currently following [not necessarily loving]. Among them are:

ABC's Dirty Sexy Money

NBC's Lipstick Jungle

Oh well, that's hollywood, that's life. Not much loss, really. Just gonna miss Kirby Atwood's boring but uber hot character though. :)

Long Time No Blog

It's been a while since I last blogged. Honestly, these pregnancy hormones are really getting me down. So everyday I just don't feel like doing anything at all. I love babies, and I love that I'm pregnant, but pregnancy just makes me blow up and get so unattractive that I can't wait until it's over. I'd rather buy a brown paper bag to put over my head, than shop maternity clothes. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but I really hardly recognize myself anymore when I look in the mirror. Drama, I know! But I am literally counting days until I give birth (123 days to go as we speak).

My countdown says 13 more days until christmas. Sad to say, I don't feel the the christmas spirit AT ALL. One reason is that my husband is away this year, but he did promise that its going to be our first and last christmas to be apart, otherwise our Euro trip is going to be closer than we planned. Hah! :)

Another reason is that I didn't get to do any christmas shopping this year. I even left the gift-buying for my Kaden this year up to my mom, which makes me really sad because I love buying stuff for Kaden! My ob gyne advised me against long walks because I'm getting early contractions and I feel pain on my stomach every now and then, especially when I get stressed out [even when I'm not]. So, this holiday season I'm stuck at home or at duty while everybody else is having fun with their christmas shopping. :( I'm so glum.

The only upside to this is... uhm I'm probably gonna get a nice christmas present from my absentee husband because he's overcome by guilt? :) Aside from that, the thought that our new baby boy is going to be with us soon makes me [and Kaden] sooooo happy and excited! By the end of January [which is next month already!] I will start preparing the baby things and I can't wait.

Okay, that's it for now. I just wanted to touch base with my readers, or rather, my loyal friends :)

Merry Christmas you all!

I miss you, Art. :(

xoxo,
:)

I'm All Kinds of Sad :(

Art just left this morning and now I'm so miserable!

Funny because by now I should be used to it since it's already the fourth time for us to say our temporary goodbyes to each other [after January, May, & July]. But I haven't been this sad ever :( Maybe it's just the pregnancy hormones making me sensitive and emotional.

I am now certain that I hate HATE long distance relationships, and I hate long distance marriages more! :(

I miss my husband soooooo baddd already and its only been hours... :(

I don't feel like doing much anymore. I just wanna sleep and wake up in January...

But January seems to be a loooong time from now. :(

Unexpected Baby News :)

Earlier today we decided to have my monthly checkup a week earlier since we're leaving for Manila on Wednesday. As of today, I'm only 16 weeks pregnant so I never really expected the doctor to be able to tell the sex this early on. So when she said, "I can already see the baby's sex!" I knew right away what it was because only one gender can be detected with certainty before 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Pooof! and there went my fantasies of shopping cutesy adorable little girly dresses in pink and purple. Gotta dig up Kaden's baby clothes soon.

I should have taken a picture of Art's reaction when he found out. He wants a baby boy sooo bad, so he, Kaden, and the baby could share their "toys".

He looked so excited while I was in a daze. I had my heart set on a baby girl, and so does Kaden (he sounds so cute saying "baby sister" so excitedly). When Art asked me if I was happy, I had to be honest and said "Well, I'm really happy for you but I'm kinda disappointed for me." He just laughed at me.

Now, I'm also getting excited about our coming baby boy. I pray he comes out healthy, that's all that's important. I'm slowly telling Kaden that he's getting a baby brother instead of a baby sister, but he got confused and is now expected both a baby sister and a baby brother. He holds up his fingers and says, "TWO babies, mommy."

Uh-oh.

I missed the WE party

I wish I was able to make it to the Wedding Essentials Beautiful Weddings 2008 magazine launch last night :( It would have been great to see the wonderful people in the wedding industry there, and meet other featured couples. Too bad my schedule didn't allow me to fly to Manila this week, and I try to console myself with the thought that I'm not much of sight to see anyway being all swollen and fat. Heheh.

I'm excited to see the issue and I can't wait till they mail my copy to me! Which I hope they do really soon. Anyone got a copy? I wanna hear about it. :)

There are only two wedding magazines in the Philippines, Metro Weddings and Wedding Essentials. Personally, I like Wedding Essentials better [and it's not just because they featured our wedding!]. I buy their magazines more than I do Metro Weddings and during the course of our wedding preparations, it has helped me a lot in terms of ideas. I highly recommend buying WE if you're on your wedding planning stage.

Cheska Garcia & Doug Kramer

One thing we didn't scrimp on during our wedding was on our wedding photography, which we totally have no regrets of. Our photographers totally delivered way beyond our expectations and showed us just why we thought they were the best among the many great wedding photographers in the Philippines today.

When we booked Mango Red, they were relatively new in the biz, thus making us lucky enough to get their introductory rates [which were significantly lower than their current rates]. The moment I saw their work, I told my then very confused fiance that I wanted them and that we should book asap. From that time we gave them a call until our wedding day, they just got better and better, and getting even better as we speak. They never cease to amaze me, so even months after our wedding, I still visit their blog regularly.

Recently, I found myself blown away after looking at their latest prenup shoot and I'd like to share it.

What a beautiful couple. :) They marry on October 9th, that's tomorrow. Wow. Ang galing galing ng Dagooc brothers!

Of course not everyone is into their style of photography because theirs is unique, edgy and out of the box. But eyelaveet!!! every bit of it.

Out of all the wonderful wedding photographers out there, I think it's them who have truly brought wedding photography in the Philippines to a different level. :)

13 weeks pregnant!

Here's a look at what our little walnut is now supposed to be like inside mommy's fat tummy. He/she is now the size of a peach, how exciting!
As I seem to be losing more and more of my waist each day, I can't help but get excited, too. Because it also means that pretty soon my baby bump is going to get bigger (significantly), and I can finally start looking pregnant and not just fat. :)
