Thomas At Mirdif City Centre

My boys are huge fans of Thomas and friends. Lately Kaden has outgrew his Thomas addiction and moved on to Bakugans and Power Rangers so he passed on his train collection to his younger brother Carlos, who is now the Thomas addict.

For Dubai Summer Surprise, they had this little Thomas presentation at Mirdif City Centre, so I took my boys. My little Carlos was beyond shocked at the sight of Thomas and Sir Topham Hat that he froze in his stroller seat. I had to carry his little stiffened body over to a higher place so he could get a better view. 

See his arm? It's been suspended in the air like that since he saw Thomas.

We didn't go close to the stage because I don't want to bring the three kids to tight places when I'm all by myself. The distance didn't bother them at all, they still enjoyed the show even from afar. 

The pictures and poor quality because they are just from my phone camera but Carlos loves the poor quality video we took of the show. He watched it 20x when we got home and each time he was just as excited as the last. I regret not bringing my camera that day. 

Little Amber was fast asleep in the stroller and missed the whole show. Bob The Builder is at the Mall of Emirates but it's too far for me to take the kids, I wish my husband were here so we can take them all together.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Carlos Chace!

Our little boy turned 2 today. Yes, the season of the terrible two is coming! (And I thought I already saw the worse) So wish me luck!

Since his birthday fell on a weekday in Dubai, we celebrated it a day before at Chuck-E-Cheese's.

The boys had fun. The place was big enough for kids to run around and Carlos was all over the moment we arrived. It was nice that most of the staff there were filipinas and they were very friendly.

Jenny suggested the blazer. I think he looks so fasyon in skinny jeans, blazer & topsider.

After a few minutes, Kaden joined him.

They loved the place, even though Kaden is scared of every other ride in the place. Good thing Carlos didn't take after his Kuya. 

Kaden liked to "pretend" to ride in some of the rides but he didn't want me to swipe the card. Lol. Carlos was more than willing but some rides were not suitable for his age, yet.

He wasn't really playing. Lol.

My good friend and Carlos' ninang, Jenny, bought him his birthday cake with a cute Percy train cake topper. Our little boy is crazy about Thomas trains, he has a shared collection with his Kuya Kaden. 

 

Carlos grabbed his cake topper long before he blew his candle, we just put it back. :)

I was pretty bummed out that Art couldn't get back in time for Carlos' birthday, but I'm sure however disappointed I was, he felt worse. So we will just celebrate Carlos' birthday again once he comes back from assignment... we don't know when, though.  

I'm glad that Jenny & Marvin, Joanne, Ella, her sis & flatmate joined us for Carlos' little celebration. :) I'm especially thankful to my friend Jenny who was more excited than I was about Carlos' birthday celebration. Heheh. Such a good ninang! Jen, I really don't know how I'd survive Dubai without you here. Love you! 

Kaden couldn't wait to go home so he could open Carlos' presents. He was more excited than the celebrant himself. But Carlos enjoyed all his presents. Thanks everyone :)

To my baby Carlos, you may be my second born but you are definitely second to none! :) Mommy loves you very very much. You are a big blessing, sweetie and I pray that you will grow up to be God fearing like daddy. Always love your Kuya and your baby sister as mommy has loved you. Happy birthday again my darling boy. May you continue to stay healthy, sweet & full of life!
