After more than a month of being away, Art is back in Dubai for about 10 days or so until he has to go back to field work. On his first night back, we decided to take the kids for some night swimming at Wild Wadi Water Park. It was Amber's first time to go swimming and the boys were excited (although they didn't know what to expect).
We arrived at the park around 7 pm, and boy was it HOT. I can't even begin to imagine how hot it would be if we went there during the afternoon.
It was twilight and it would have been perfect for a pictorial! Lol. But we were not able to take that much photos because we had our hands full, in fact we ended up just leaving both our cameras in the locker.
When the boys saw the pool, they delightedly ran into the water! Both had so much fun running and splashing water at each other.
We have been wanting to take the kids to a water park since last year but each and every time something came up and we never got to go. Seeing those huge smiles and shrieks of laughter made me really glad that we finally went.
Little Amber was the complete opposite of her brothers. She was SCARED of the water. I can't blame her since we never really exposed her to pools and beaches before this. I intentionally avoided introducing her to swimming in public places because of my past experience where Carlos ended up getting sick and eventually got his first asthma attack when he was five months old, after we took him swimming in a hotel pool in Zamboanga.
We were trying to make it as much fun for her as possible but she was really terrified. She was holding on to me with everything she's got. Poor little girl, I hope the next time her experience would be more positive.
It wasn't easy but we were finally able to drag the boys out of the water (against Carlos' will) to grab some food coz I was starving! And I knew that even if the boys didn't feel it coz they were too busy having fun, they were starving as well.
And of course, several "almost" family pictures
It is really one of my great frustrations that we can't take a proper family picture each time we go out. :(Nonetheless, this outing was so much fun and I hope we can do it again soon. There are still lots of places to visit in Dubai before the kids go home with my parents at the end of September. I so love our (not so) little family!
Daddy with his, his, and his dinner. Wow! :p
We were able to take some photos with very pretty views of Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Bikini: H&M, Flipflops: BCBG. Top: F21, Pleated Mini: Topshop, Bag, Longchamp Le Pliage. |
Carlos was fast asleep in the stroller during this time. |
