while waiting for her lunch |
For breakfast.
Amber loves this! I only get two flavors but she never gets tired of having them for breakfast everyday. When she sees me walking towards her with her bowl and spoon, she gets really excited because she knows it's mealtime.
For lunch and dinner.
Amber's top 4. |
I love these Hipp organic food jars because not only are they are very convenient for me, I can also be confident that my little girl is getting all the nutrition she needs. I started giving Amber their Stage 1 jars when she was 6 months old and she loved them, especially the Pumpkin ones. Now that she's older, I've moved on to stage 2, which is lumpier and has a thicker consistency than the first stage. She has four (above image) favorites her absolute favorite is the Vegetable Lasagne.
It's great how they come in stages and they offer a wide range of food choices so Amber can have variety. Sometimes I still feel guilty about feeding my little girl ready made food but looking at the all organic ingredients in the Hipp food jars makes me feel better, knowing that it's probably healthier and more nutritious than what I can prepare for her.
Nonetheless, there is really nothing like home-cooked meals which is why I can't wait for my mom to arrive here next week so she can prepare home-cooked meals for the little lady. I know I won't have a problem weaning her from these because like I said, she'll eat anything!
Snacks
Even though these cookies are really meant for babies, I am still very cautious about letting Amber have the whole piece by herself. I let her hold them because she likes it but I make sure that I am right there watching her suck and chew on them because when a huge chunk would end up in her mouth, there is still a chance she might choke on the biscuits (knock on wood). She loves this and she feels very grown up when she is allowed to hold the biscuit herself.
Feeding this little girl is like a dream! I am in awe because it was never this easy to feed the two boys who were such fussy eaters, but [I think] I've already fixed that .
These Ella's Kitchen organic smoothies are a new discovery and I wasn't so sure if Amber was going to like them, but she LOVES them! I can't wait to buy her all the flavors and see which one will be her favorite. I started by squirting a little at a time into her mouth and she couldn't wait to have more! When it was almost empty, I handed it over to her and she slurped the whole thing down and continued sucking on it even after it was empty. (No worries because it's BPA free!) This is perfect for snack time and I like that the packaging is no mess and is resealable. I think I'll put one in her baby bag for whenever we go out. Right now, Amber is on a phase where she wants to try doing things by herself so this smoothie snack will be a perfect way to make her feel "independent".
So yeah, I try my very best to feed her healthy food but in the end she still manages to charm me into giving her whatever it is that her older brothers are munching on.
