Lego Watch

I think I blogged a little over a year ago about wanting to get a Lego Make-n-Create watch for myself. Although when I finally saw it in person, I realized it was too small for my wrist. Well, it wasn't small but I prefer big watches for myself --one reason why I like borrowing watches from my husband.
Finally, I decided that I would get one for Kaden when he turns five (which is now) and another one for Carlos once he turns five (that's a lil over three years from now). Why five? because the box says that due to the small parts, the watches should only be worn by kids ages 5+.
I look at things like that when I buy toys and stuff for my kids because as much as we'd like to and as hard as we may try, we cannot always have our eye on our kids. Sometimes too, we have to admit that even while they are supposedly "under our supervision", our attention isn't 100% on them. After all, we have to attend to other things such as facebook and blogging... among others.

Kaden would really love to have this watch, my only worry is that his not-so-baby brother might decide he wants to tinker with it and get upset hurt when we tell him he can't.

Actually, there are so many designs to choose from, and most of them are Star Wars inspired. I chose this particular one for Kaden because there are numbers on the dial so he doesn't get confused since he's only starting to tell the time.
I later found out that there are mid-sized Lego watches for older children or adults.
I was thinking about it, but quickly changed my mind when I saw the ODM JCDC Pop Hours Lego Digital Watch. Now this is one I'd surely wear.

Isn't it gorgeous?!? It was designed by fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
Sigh! I think I want to add this watch to my "Dear Santa" list.
