Our 3d/4d Ultrasound At 29 Weeks

Last Tuesday, I had a 3d/4d scan of the newest addition to our little family. I never had one when I was pregnant with Kaden because my Ob-Gyn then convinced me that it's not important, so I had a congenital scan done instead. Now I feel bad that poor Kaden has no "in-the-womb" pictures like this one.

You gotta love technology these days! Imagine having to see what the baby really looks like this early on. Although, we all know that the baby's face changes really really fast. What he could look like at birth could be totally different from what he will look like in a week.

We actually did the scan for hubbylicious who was supposed to be home this month but had to stay in Dubai due to some circumstances. Problem is, the file is too big for me to send to him. It has been days and I still am not able to upload the video on youtube. This is the downside to being a mac user, you have limited programs to choose from if you want to downsize a file, or edit it to make it shorter.

So, my dear husband has no choice but to look at the pictures instead.

It was a great experience. In 40 minutes the baby has moved a lot! and we saw him grimace, yawn, smile, swallow, stick out his tongue, move his arms, cover his face, among others. It was fun to watch him, now I'm even more excited and impatient to give birth than ever!

Late Reaction!

He's sooo cute pala! Hahaha. Pero I'm not too keen on how he portrayed Edward Cullen on the movie, or maybe his gazes were a little bit too intent. Basta, I prefer how they depicted the character in the book, mas nakaka-kilig. I think its pretty OA how a lot of people swear they loooooveeee Edward Cullen after watching the movie, and become instant number 1 fans.

So Robert Pattinson is my newfound crush, not for his role in Twilight, but because I just realized how handsome he really is.

This first picture is my absolute fav.

Baby Boy Update!

pregnancy calendar
From Babycenter.com

How your baby's growing:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

There are 79 days until your due date on April 15, 2009.
You are 201 days pregnant.
You are 6.6 months pregnant.
You are in your
7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester:
July 09, 2008 to October 07, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester:
October 08, 2008 to January 19, 2009. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester:
January 20, 2009 to April 15, 2009. (28 - 40 weeks)

Gosh! It feels like forever until April.

"Ang Hirap Maging Babae!" -Bb

For some reason, I'm so showbiz lately! Hahah.
In fairness, (s)he's got a pretty face.
Even prettier than Kris & Ruffa here, ha.
May konting hawig pa kay Carmina! :)
(S)he's just in dire need of a stylist. In serious need.

Ruffa: Sayang nman crush ko pa nman si Rustom, yung ginagawa namin yung Hapee toothpaste together...
Rustom: It's okay, you had the brother!
Ruffa: (points to Kris!) Hello, She did too!
Kris: Aaah! No I did not!
Ruffa: Yes you did!
Kris: Not in that sense!
Ruffa: Nagtanan pa nga kayo ha?
Kris: Bb! Alam mo mga babae dapat hindi chismosa.

I'm So Mean! :)

Guess list

A director got so exasperated with an actress during their shoot for a TV ad. She was supposed to have a long spiel promoting the product. But even after endless rehearsal takes, the actress could not enunciate the words properly. So Direk had no other recourse but to scrap all her lines except one.

“Ang ikli nalang nga nung sasabihin niya, palpak pa din,” revealed an ad agency insider. “May problem talaga siya sa diction. Kaya no choice yung client. They aired the ad even if they’re not exactly satisfied with her way of speaking.”

The sought-after actress is better seen than heard. EARittating eye-candy?

I wonder if this is the commercial being talked about.

Adeeek!

Sometime last November, my 3 year-old boy Kaden discovered the internet.

There are three sites that he loves visiting: NickJr, PlayhouseDisney, and Thomas&Friends. These sites have games and activities for toddlers that are interactive, fun, and even educational.

It's amazing how fast kids learn these days.

Super Engrossed.

At first he started out with the mouse, then I was later surprised to see him doing so well with the trackpad.

Even gets upset when disturbed. :)

These days my surfing/chatting hours are compromised. Not that I mind, seeing how much my son enjoys his online "play time". So the next time I suddenly disappear on ym or facebook, don't wonder why anymore because chances are, Kaden took over.

Love This Song!

Been trying to download this song on Limewire, but no success so far so I tried my luck with youtube. Not the same I know, but at least I get to listen to it when I want. I like her voice. :)

New Crush!!

It's a bit late, I know, but just I realized that I'm developing a teeny crush on Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick aka Chuck Bass.

Both Nate and Dan's characters are becoming too boring. They pale in comparison to Chuck Bass.

I think another reason is that I like Ed's hair better now.

Ed with his rumored girlfriend, Jessica Szohr aka Vanessa.

For inspiration

During my first pregnancy, I gained 45lbs during my first seven months of pregnancy. Good thing, on my seventh month I started going on hourly (minimum) brisk walking around the marina. So my total weight gain for my entire nine months was capped at 50lbs.

I was huge, my nose was swollen like a tomato, and strangers would come up to me in the mall and ask if I'm having twins. Some people actually swore that I would never go back to my pre-pregnancy body.

I think it had to do with the exercise I had during the pregnancy, but I was down to 122lbs (losing almost 30lbs) in two weeks without doing anything but nurse the baby. In about six months, I was in Boracay sporting a bikini.

Now, onto my second pregnancy, I have to admit that I'm not feeling too optimistic. First, I already gained 40lbs (give or take) in just a six month period. Second, is my total absence of exercise until I'm 36 weeks pregnant [obviously not by choice].  Third, is because a lot of people keep saying it's not as easy to shed weight after your second baby.

I need inspiration!!! Even thoughts of Amanpulo upon bikini-bod achievement is just not good enough!

But if they can do it, why can't I?

I guess owning a treadmill by the time I give birth in April would be very helpful too, since I'm not much of a gym person.

New Year, New Baby! :)

Finally, it's 2009! Like I said, I have a lot of things to look forward to this year. First, I am excited to graduate from my nursing program this coming March. I remember when I started out three years ago, it seemed like it would take forever! But what do you know, forever has come very quick. :)

Second, I'm looking forward to giving birth this coming April 15 (give or take). I know it's a little bit crazy to wish that I already give birth sometime before March ends, when I reach 36 weeks gestation, but I really am hoping!! I cannot stand my constant need to rest, every bit of effort I do stresses me out and gives me contractions. My lack of exercise is really blowing me up. Fyi, I already gained close to 40lbs and I'm only 25 weeks pregnant! OMG is right! By the time I give birth, I'd be lucky if I don't weigh like 200lbs.

Third, I plan to be able to take the local nursing boards by November of this year. I absolutely cannot wait to get all necessary exams done with asap. I feel bad that I won't be able to take it this coming June along with my classmates because my delicate condition won't allow me to climb three flights of stairs everyday going to the review classes, plus go down (and up again) one flight every time I have to pee (which will be every hour). Everyone tells me that it's just as well because I'm going to be too stressed since June is too close to my expected date of delivery, and I'm probably gonna have a hard time since I plan to nurse the baby for at least his first three months.

All that and more to be excited about this 2009. Hopefully, hubby and I can do our belated honeymoon this year as well! (that is, if I can drag him away from the baby).  Everyone in the family is super excited about our coming baby, and I cannot wait to be a mommy the second time around! Kaden is very excited about being a big brother and he constantly talks about his baby brother very often, its too cute! Art and I are filling our Amazon shopping cart for our baby needs and I plan to start preparing the baby things (and some of Kaden's old clothes) before this month ends. Too excited ba? I can't help it!

2008 has been great, and I have a hunch 2009 is going to be even better! :)
