Other half of January in Dubai

Had dinner at this yummy pizza place at the Le Meridien with Gary and his wife, Jenny.

Jenny & Marvin treated us to a lovely brunch at Saffron in Atlantis.

Kaden experienced Ski Dubai and had enjoyed it A LOT.
We went to Dubai Mall for the Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.

Dubai Bound

We left on a 7 am flight to Manila.
Carlos Chace saying bye to his papa.
I used my brother's backpack as a baby bag.

Gotta love the legroom.
Carlos got a bassinet, which he used for like, 10 minutes.

Kuya dozes off. He was asleep for 6 hours out of the 8 hour flight.

January Rain

So the new year comes and we still miss Art very much.  My mom was in New Jersey for the holidays too, so it was just us --My dad, my bro, my FIL, my MIL, my two boys, and me.

Then comes my birthday, and it was just us. So I took my boys somewhere they could enjoy themselves.  There aren't much options in Zamboanga though.

Dinner with friends.
In this last picture are my momma friends, Melissa (L) and Janice (R). As you can see even with kids, they still look hawt. So I use them as inspiration when trying to lose my pregnancy pounds.
Two days after this dinner, we were on the plane going to Dubai.

My December

December 2009 was a pretty busy month for me, but right now I can't even remember what I was so busy with. All I remember is that I had the worse case of asthma I've ever had in years, after both my boys had their respective asthma attacks. I can't believe that out of all the things they could get from me, they had to get being asthmatic!

I'm gonna post some pictures of what we did for the month.

Kaden's School Christmas Party

They had sheep costumes for their dance number. So cute!
During their exchange gifts. Bianca picked Kaden's name.
And Kaden thanked her with a kiss. Believe me, this wasn't mommy's idea at all.
Now here's Bianca reciprocating Kaden with a kiss, because out of the 30 students in their class, Kaden picked her name. So the two of them literally exchanged gifts.
Kaden got Transformers
Bianca got Ken

Watch their cute dance number.

Dinner with High School Barkada

(L-R) Jason, Ling-ling, Shiela, Me, Donald, May Anne, and Sean.

I love my high school barkada! We missed four people in this dinner (and this picture) because they were not able to go back to our lil' hometown which is Zamboanga for Christmas.

To Ling-ling, who is getting married on the 30th of this month, you know how depressed I am for having to miss your wedding! This is the first ever Tropical wedding I'm going to miss and I pray it will be the last!!! Congratulations in advance, Ling. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures!!!

To Jason & Shiela, who got engaged earlier this month. Congratulations! Jason proposed to Shawa on her birthday, how sweet! Wedding is December next year!

To May Anne, who already finalized the date and venue for her wedding in May next year, congratulations too! It's a big step and I can say that planning a wedding is not all as fun as it seems! Especially since her wedding will be a destination one in Bukidnon! I really really hope I can be there.

To Donald, who just opened his very own couture shop this month, congratulations! We're so proud of you! You've come a loooong way from being the guy who sews beads into gowns while managing your dad's  hardware! (Until now that image still makes me laugh out loud). I can't wait to see Ling-ling in the gown you made for her!

To Sean, whose new movie Pendong which he directed/produced was a success, congratulations!  The indie film just made a premiere last week during the World Volkswagen Day and it has gotten very good reviews from columnists and even got plugged in SNN and The Buzz! Naks! Sean is starting to make a good name for himself in the film industry and Alfie Lorenzo even mentioned him as possibly the next Dante "Brilliante" Mendoza. How about that for pressure? Our barkada is so proud of Sean, and as it seems so is the entire city of Zamboanga.

Picture Taking at the City Hall

Well, you can't be Zamboangueño and not have a photo taken at our local city hall. Because for us little townsfolk, the well-lighted building is already a cause for awe! No, seriously almost everyone I know has pics taken with that background, so we had to have one! Para hindi dehado!
There's me and my nursing buddies with the City Hall behind us.

Christmas Without Art! :(

We super missed him during Christmas

Good thing my brother came home for Christmas.

So that's how we spent our December.

A Week

I've only been here a week and I'm going crazy missing my two little hyper boys! I feel like I'm missing out on a lot, especially the little one who seems like he wants to start talking pretty soon. Art always reminds me that its just a little sacrifice I have to make. Anyway, I hope I don't ever have to be away from my kids again.

Since I arrived, I've only been to the mall once but that's not a worry at all because I still have until October to get what I need for our new baby girl. I'm just sooo excited! After having two boys, I can't wait to shop pink and purple!!! I didn't realize its so hard because almost everything you see in the stores are all cutsey stuff, and I so want to hoard! But I'm trying to learn how to prioritize! Bare essentials first! I mean, bare essentials ONLY! :)

I only looked at Gap and Carters for baby clothes. I even skipped Children's Place for fear of overspending but everything looked so good!
Carters

First few baby girl clothes. So cute!
There's me resting my feet but still checking out shoes at Marshall's, and that's my cousin Lucy.

Everyone who knows me personally knows that as much as I love my little boys, I've been wanting to have a baby girl so bad! I've always wanted to have someone to pass on my "investment" pieces to, if any. I've also been wanting to dress a little girl up in pretty little dresses and to play with her hair, among other things of course.

My boy Kaden has been very excited about having a "little sister" for him and his baby brother to play with. Sometimes I can't believe how fast our family is growing! I think after this I'll want to rest from pregnancy and focus on the three children. Besides, I don't want to be a stay-at-home mom forever! I told myself that I'm going to get a job when my youngest turns 3, because by then she'll be ready for Toddler school.

But for now, I'm just taking things one day at a time.

I'm Back!!!

My gawd! It's been months since I last blogged and I super miss blogging. My last post was wayyy back December and a lot has happened in my life and in the world since.

One reason I stopped blogging was because I felt so down during the month of December. I was disheartened by the fact that my hubby, Art, couldn't go home and spend Christmas with us as a family. He had to cancel his leave because of something that came up at work, so we decided that the kids and I should just go to Dubai for Christmas so that we can still be together. But at the last minute, he found out that he wouldn't even be in Dubai for Christmas so the kids and I had to move our trip a month later. A few months back, I was so excited about December because I was looking forward to some mommy and daddy time and to crossing out a few places or things off my 2009 wish list. Which reminds me, I have to remove my old wish list and update it with a new one.

Then when we arrived in Dubai, I got my hands full right away and had no time at all to blog! Between my two hyper boys and no maid, plus with Art always traveling, I had no time to even floss! Eww, TMI I know. So there, that's how I was able to neglect my blog for so long.

Well one thing I've learned with my husband's line of work is that, it's virtually impossible to make plans because most of the time something comes up at the last minute. Nonetheless, I've also noticed that something good always seems to come out for us anyway, so I have no reason to whine about anything.

So what if this year I am missing 3 of my very close friends' weddings? Which really sucks for me because I love love love weddings! Not to mention I was supposed to be a matron of honor in one of those weddings. And what if Bella Roca didn't happen for me and my friend Sio in March as we planned and South Korea isn't going to happen anytime this year either for me and my best friend Kim? There's always next year right? So yeah, the long overdue honeymoon that I thought Art and I would be having sometime this year, not happening too! But WTH cause instead, we have been blessed with a sweet lil pea which is now growing in my humongous and still growing tummy and we can't wait to meet HER this October! Yey! :)

I'm currently in Carteret, New Jersey living with my Auntie Lisa (my mom's sis) and her family, awaiting my due date which seems forever and a year from now. I had to leave this early because my tummy was showing a little more than it should and I didn't want to be questioned too much upon my entry. This is my first time to be away from my kids for more than a week and I think I'm the one experiencing separation anxiety instead of them. I miss them so much!!! Even with webcam, voice chat and magic jack, it's still not the same! :(

So there's my story. Now, I've got my hands free and I can blog all I want. Maybe I'll blog about what happened from December until May. We'll see, it all depends on how bored I'm gonna get in the months to come.
